Legal Affairs — TIME Magazine

I returned to school in my early 30s and earned a law degree at The University of Louisville. Upon graduation in 2006, I began a 10 year stint as contributing legal correspondent for TIME. The magazine published about 100 bylined pieces — mostly legal analysis and original reporting — in that time. One of the highlights was the opportunity to cover nationwide the legal crusade for gay marriage from the mid-2000s all the way through the 2015 Supreme Court victory.
